The beginning was humble though, in a rented 800 square feet facility performing refractions and intracapsular cataract surgeries. Over the decades the small clinic evolved into an eye institute “Megur Eye Care Centre “spread over 9000square feet, equipped with the state of the art equipment providing quality care in different subspecialties of ophthalmology and dedicated to academics, and committed to providing training to fellow ophthalmologists. 2 more peripheral centers equipped to provide secondary level eye care were started in neighbouring taluka places of Basavakalyan & Zaheerabad which are dedicated to provide equitable and quality eye care to the rural population. He along with his team has conducted more than 100 surgical camps for the underprivileged with the assistance from Rotary International, DBCS and other NGOs.
